Sony is preparing to roll out PlayTV, a device that adds DVR functionality to the PlayStation 3. It will launch in the U.K. on Sept. 19 for £70 (about $130). While the add-on seems like an excellent move for Sony, it’s not without some glaring drawbacks.

While most of us are busy pommeling our friends in Soul Calibur IV, there are people with cancer who are waging their own fight — within themselves and in front of a screen.
